Dr.Haley Sweeney

Dr. Haley SweeneyDPT, ATC, CSCS

Physical Therapist

Haley received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, her Master’s in Exercise Science from the University of Central Florida, and her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Missouri State University.

She has worked in many roles as an athletic trainer from collegiate club, DI, and DII athletics, to high school sports, physical therapy clinics, and with youth athletes. She had worked as an athletic trainer at Rollins College where she worked women’s volleyball, women’s soccer, and baseball. Throughout these experiences she developed a passion for female athletes and the rehabilitation process, especially with ACL injuries.

She is originally from Wentzville, Missouri and is a huge St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. Haley moved to Gainesville to finish her doctorate clinical rotations and fell in love with the sports atmosphere of UF fans and the amazing old Spanish moss covered live oak trees. In her free time you can catch her weight lifting, trail running at San Felasco State Park, or going to any UF athletics event.

Haley believes her true calling is advocating for the female athlete to provide them with the proper resources, confidence, and knowledge to stay healthy and injury free through their sport! Whether that is the adolescent female athlete or weekend warrior.
